It was really special to return to NYC for the SWIB conference and connect with women who wanted to share their stories.   What was striking is how we all reach the same general conclusions about what's important personally and professionally when you reach that 20+ year mark in your career.  Echos of my corporate life rang true in hearing Pattie Sellers from Fortune talk about the new level of comraderie among women in corporate America - a huge shift from when we started our career in the early 80's.

Many thanks to Gail McCarthy who did an amazing job covering the seARTS "Celebrate Wearable Art!" event in the December issue of Cape Ann Magazine.   The photos are beautiful, but the message is very important - it really tells the story about why we did what we did.  I invite all of you to try to get a copy of the magazine which is not online, so get your ___ down to a place that sells the magazine - Bookstore, Building Center, Richdale and take it all in!  

It's hard to run an event and participate in it, but even with all that was going on, it was impossible to miss the sheer beauty on the runway and around the room.  From decorated lunch tables, to elegant designs, the sold out crowd had a grand time.  Emcee Steve Aveson was simply amazing or "more than excellent" as one of our attendees commented.  But, in this case, photos do speak a thousand words, so enjoy the new gallery!   But my all time favorite is all the designers in the front of the room.
